There are many reasons we love the 2016 Dodge Dart in our inventory here at Brunswick Auto Mart. One of those reasons is that the automaker continues to improve their processes and procedures to ensure the best quality in every car they build. FCA US LLC, parent company of Dodge, recently announced the completion of a $63 million project to bring additional capacity to their Warren Stamping Plant facility as part of the continuing efforts to improve quality.
The facility began construction and installation of their new state-of-the-art Servo Tandem Press system nearly two years ago, and the advanced system was pressed into service in December 2015 to produce stamped sheet metal parts for a range of vehicles including the 2016 Dodge Dart. With the new stamping press system installed, the facility possesses the capacity to produce an additional 12,000 parts on a daily basis, or about 3.6 million parts every year.
In addition to increased output, the Servo Tandem Press system uses less energy, is more reliable and easier to maintain, and is more flexible, allowing quicker changes to accommodate different part requirements. Further, the system was installed utilizing the principles of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), an organizational methodology that improves and enhances quality while raising productivity and reducing waste. The plant earned WCM Bronze status in October 2014.
The quality of the automaker's cars like the 2016 Dodge Dart continues to improve and it's because FCA US LLC focuses on continual investments. In fact, the automaker has invested more than $5.3 billion in manufacturing facilities and operations since 2009.
