The 2014 Jeep® Cherokee named recently named "Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year" at the 20th Annual Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) Mudfest Event.
It doesn't come as much of a surprise to us at Brunswick Auto Mart. Jeep vehicles are outstanding performers in harsh conditions and on rough terrains. In fact, you might get the impression they were built for just such activity...
We're thrilled to hear that the 20-plus automotive journalists at the event appreciate Jeep vehicles as much as we do at our North Olmstead area Jeep dealership.
Sixteen auto manufacturers and 23 vehicles all battled dirt and mud and treacherous trails, paved circuits, and autocross routes for two days to be named top vehicles in five categories: Compact Utility, Premium Compact Utility, Premium Standard Utility, Family Utility, and Extreme Capability Vehicle.
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee took top honors among all comers, as well as being recognized as the top contender in the Compact Utility category. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee also performed well, cruising into the winner's circle in the Premium Standard Utility category.
"The 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk was named the winner based on its outstanding performance, off-road capabilities, features, fuel economy and value after rigorous testing... The new Cherokee represents a near-perfect blend of the features and performance that northwest buyers expect," said Ryan Douthit, who co-chaired the event.
