Car shoppers experienced some cold temperatures last month, but that didn't stop them from visiting Chrysler dealerships like ours here at Brunswick Auto Mart to check out our great lineup of Chrysler vehicles.

Chrysler Group LLC recently announced January 2014 sales figures and the results defied the cold weather.  Said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales, "We had a great January with sales up 8 percent and achieved our 46th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases...  In addition to a strong sales start to the year, last month we also reported 2013 full-year profits and unveiled the all-new Chrysler 200, our strongest entry yet in the mid-size sedan segment."

The weather didn't stop drivers from checking out great vehicles like the 2014 Chrysler 200, which enjoyed its best January monthly sales ever.  The 2014 Chrysler 200 enjoyed an increase of 23 percent compared to January 2013.  With the announcement of a newly redesigned model expected to arrive in showrooms later this year, things are heating up for the 2014 Chrysler 200.  Akron drivers, on the other hand, may have to endure a few more weeks of cold weather.

Overall, Chrysler Group LLC tallied sales of 127,183 vehicles, an 8 percent gain over the same period last year when the company tallied sales of 117,731 vehicles and the company's highest  January sales results since 2008.  Chrysler division sales jumped 2 percent overall with sales of 21,113 vehicles, led by the aforementioned 2014 Chrysler 200.  The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan followed with an 8 percent sales gain for its highest January sales results since 2008.
