FCA US LLC: 2019 Dodge Durango Is a Three-Row Dodge Charger

FCA US LLC officially unveiled the new 2019 Dodge Durango last week, and it was comments from the head of passenger cars for FCA North America, Steve Beahm, that really got people’s attention.

“The Durango is our three-row Charger of the SUV segment, delivering uncompromised utility, advanced technology, class-leading towing and driving range, confident driving dynamics, and aggressive styling,” said Beahm in a press release. “With America’s fastest, most capable three-row SUVs in our garage, and the new updates for the 2019 model year, Dodge Durango continues to separate itself from the competition with the performance and capability that our customers demand.”

Obviously, FCA US LLC is really excited about the new Dodge Durango, as is our team at Brunswick Auto Mart! The automaker is touting an expansion of the performance front fascia and LED fog lamps, available on earlier HEMI® V8-powered SRT, R/T, and GT models, the latter of which contains a Pentastar® V6. GT owners will also have the option to fit their Dodge Durango with a powerful-looking, Charger SRT-inspired performance hood with a center air inlet duct and two heat extractors.

The Citadel model will also see some changes, including standard second-row captain’s chair and an available 825-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. All trims with the optional trailer tow package will come equipped with an integrated trailer brake. New color choices for the 2019 lineup will also debut, including F8 Green, Destroyer Grey, and Reactor Blue.

So far, we can gather that the new Dodge Durango will be even faster and more powerful than its predecessors, and it seems the automaker is looking to add even more of its signature muscle-car aesthetic as well. Needless to say, we are ready at our car dealership near Akron, OH, and we are looking forward to hearing more about this SUV in the near future.
